About Rob

Rob Palmer MChiro DC ICSSP MRCC (Sport).

Doctor of Chiropractic.

Rob trained at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, graduating with distinction from the professional Masters (MChiro) degree programme, where he also received the award for Best Research Project for his final year dissertation.

Post-graduation, Rob has pursued extensive further study in advanced modalities, including Dry Needling (British Medical Acupuncture Society), Active Release Technique (ART), Sacro-Occipital Technique, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation, and Kinesiotaping. He also incorporates Functional Movement Screening and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation from the Prague School of Rehabilitation.

Rob enjoys the variety of chiropractic practice. The numerous techniques he has studied provide plenty of tools in the toolbox to tackle each case with a tailored approach.

Currently, Rob is in his fourteenth season working on the WorldTour as a team chiropractor for EF Education-EasyPost Pro Cycling. In this role, Rob has worked at hundreds of events, including the Tour de France and the UCI World Championships.

Rob is also currently in his fifth season as a consulting chiropractor for the Newcastle United F.C. men’s first team.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys cycling, running, gym strength training, hiking, and wild camping in the Scottish Highlands. Having competed in cycle races for 20 years, he first encountered chiropractic following a major crash in Belgium. Today, he stays active with social rides for the Manchester Bicycle Club, and competes in distance running and cross country with Sale Harriers Manchester.
