Chiropractor Near Me

Chiropractor Near Me - Is it always best to find the one closest?

How to find the most appriopriate one for you.

Location of a Chiropractor to a patient is important for many reasons, however it is not the only reason to choose the Chiropractor.

Here are a ideas to help you decide / choose the most appropriate Chiropractor for you:

  • Is The Chiropractor GCC Registered

Is the clinic registered with the appropriate governing bodies? For the United Kingdom Chiropractors should be registered with the General Chiropractic Council.

  • Google reviews for chiropractors

This is a good method to see real world reviews that are hard to get, as Google requires an account for the reviewer. The google reviews will look like the image below. Take the time to look over the clinics reviews, not just for the negative ones but also if people have mentioned issues that sound like yours and had success.

  • Social Media

Check the clinic out on social media. The usual suspects of Facebook and Instagram are good indicators. Try looking if the page on Facebook has a reviews section. If its doesn’t then this could ring alarm bells. Ask yourself “why wouldn’t the page have a review option?”

  • Chiropractors and Block Bookings

These are becoming unfortunately more common place and are in most cases NOT needed. In our experience it is only a small number of patients who need to be seen on a regular basis. Ask yourself how does the chiropractor know it will take 30 appointments to get me better and why is the number so high? For your reference we typically see patients for 3-4 appointments for the issue to be significantly improved, if not entirely resolved. Yes there are exceptions to these numbers, but the key point is they are the exception not the rule.

X-Rays & Chiropractic

These are NOT common place in Chiropractic in the UK and there is strict protocol to clinically justify an x-ray. They are used very sparingly and full body x rays are not permitted, unless you have been in a severe situation. With proper training and diagnostic skills, a Chiropractor will have no need for costly and unnecessary x-rays.

  • Contact a Chiropractor

Contact the clinic or Chiropractor and ask to speak or email the therapist. They should be open to talk or communicate to help advise if their treatment maybe of help.

  • What can Chiropractors Help With?
