About Rob

Rob Palmer MChiro DC ICSSP MRCC (Sport).

Doctor of Chiropractic.

Rob trained at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, graduating with distinction from the professional Masters (MChiro) degree programme. He received several awards for academic excellence throughout the course, including Best Research Project for his final year dissertation.

Post-graduation Rob has gone on to further study several techniques including: Dry needling (British Medical Acupuncture Society), Active Release Technique, Sacro-Occipital Technique, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation, Kinesiotaping, Functional Movement Screening and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation from the Prague School of Rehabilitation.

Rob enjoys the variety of chiropractic practice. The numerous techniques he has studied provide plenty of tools in the tool box to tackle each case with a tailored approach.

Currently Rob is in his 11th season as team chiropractor for EF Education-EasyPost Pro Cycling. In this role, Rob has worked at hundreds of events including the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Vuelta a España, and UCI World Championships.

Rob is also a consulting chiropractor for the Newcastle United F.C. men’s first team.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys cycling, running, hiking, and wild camping. Rob competed in cycle races for 20 years. It is in Belgium, following a bad crash, that he first encountered chiropractic. Rob still enjoys the occasional social ride with the Manchester Bicycle Club, but more recently has been bitten by the marathon bug and is a member of Sale Harriers Manchester.
