How to choose the right Chiropractor?

choosing the right chiropractor for you

A simple guide to help people choose the right Chiropractor for them, we also created a

“What to avoid when looking for a Chiropractor”.

Choosing the right chiropractor is key to you getting quality care and treatment, however it’s not as easy as simply Googling “Best Chiropractor Near Me” as some clinics sadly and worryingly seem to put profits over ethics and this costs patients far too much money & time but also they never get the results that are achievable with quality treatment.

Quick Points:

If you’re in a rush then here are the things to look for

  • Ask family of friends if they have had Chiropractic treatment and if they would recommend them?

  • Google search “Chiropractor near me”

  • Take a look over their reviews on Google, Facebook etc

  • Check they are registered with the GCC

  • Contact the clinic and ask to speak with them if you wish or email them directly

See more detailed reasons below

Ask a friend or family member for a referral:

Most people use word of mouth / referral from a friend or family member to find a Chiropractor. This is a great start as people will be honest and unlikely to recommend a bad therapist to a friend.

A few questions that will help you confirm if the Chiropractor is a good fit:

  • What issue did they have and was it helped by the treatment?

  • How many sessions did it take?

  • Did they explain the issue in simple to understand terms and how they would treat the issue?

Search Online:

The next logical step is to go online and search for a local chiropractor. Find a few clinics and then take the time and follow these steps to narrow down the right choice:

  • Check their Google and Facebook reviews. Yes we all get the odd negative ones, but if there are many then obviously beware.
This is also a good place to find patient testimonials who may have similar issues to yours.
If a clinic has a Facebook page but no place for reviews then this is also a warning sign

GCC Registered:

  • Check they are registered with the General Chiropractic Council which all chiropractors must be legally, in order to practice.

Contact the clinic:

Contact the clinic and ask to speak or contact via email to make sure they are confident treating your issues.

  • Ask approximately how many treatments it will take and over how long will the treatment gaps be. If its 10+ and 2-3 treatments a week then move on

We hope that this helps you choose the right chiropractor for your issues. I would also suggest reading our post on what to beware of when choosing a Chiropractor which will fully equip you to make the best decision
